The New Age School, Pune is the 50th Campus of KES. With each new Campus, KES has been adding to its account a new endeavour. We have been running primary/secondary schools both in English and Marathi medium for years. What is exciting in setting up a CBSE School in Pune Metropolis is a small attempt to deliver pre-primary to secondary education in our way. As an educational organization, we have been witnessing new educational thoughts and the resulting transformations in educational methodologies. In the last three decades, constructivism and outcomes-based learning have pervaded the space of educational philosophy or rather learning philosophy. However, the implementation of these philosophies needs expertise, a lot of detailing, facility creation and the hard work of a team of competent teachers. In a way, the facilitation of better learning is a pursuit. At The New Age School, Pune, we are experimenting with a blend of various learning philosophies.
This will need more of ‘doing’ from the students’ side. The students won’t sit in a classroom for hours but rather move from one learning place to another. We have gathered novel learning resources for them. The students would go through real-life experiences which they are largely missing in the oppression of ‘Virtual Reality’. Students would be
more aware and concerned about the ecology. After all, we are part of it and educators need to imbibe these values in the new generation. I am sure, The New Age School, Pune will soon stand out as an ‘Experiential School’ in Pune.
